Konstantino Kapetaneas

Konstantino Kapetaneas is a Canadian web designer, electronics artist, pixel artist, and musician. His work addresses themes of nostalgia, data relationships and video game environments, challenging traditional forms of media expression and narrative by creating nonconventional interfaces and interactive experiences.

Konstantino is the 2012 recipient of the Karen Miller-Tait Memorial Award, which is presented to one New Media student for outstanding creative design production each year.

Konstantino has worked with TIFF Nexus on the Chiptunes Orchestra initiative at Nuit Blanche 2011, creating a pixel art rendering of the TIFF Bell Lightbox for their promotional material, as well as producing electronic instruments for the night of the event. He has also worked with Toronto indie game developer Spooky Squid Games to create an arcade controller for their game Night Balloonist, exhibited at a Hand Eye Society social in February 2011.
